SLOW COOLING
For all types of grain dryers
Specifications
Available in various sizes and models with capacities from 121 to 967 m3.
DESCRIPTION
Zanin has been offering and developing cooling systems for all types of dryers for more than 40 years.
This procedure increases the output of the dryer, while reducing fuel consumption by 30% as compared to conventional dryers.
The post-drying procedure consists in using the energy contained in the grain (sensitive heat), which is recovered to remove any remaining moisture without the need for fuel.
Slow product cooling also helps to prevent cracking phenomena often resulting from thermal shock, thus guaranteeing a valid, stable product in warehouses.

Operating principle
In the circular slow cooling machine, the product enters a cylindrical container and follows the dryer discharge pattern (input product equals output product), regulated by a system of sensors.
As the grain falls, it is struck by a cold counter-current of upward flowing air.
The product must be discharged across the entire surface to ensure the consistency of the outgoing product.
The quantity of outgoing grain is preset and regulated by a pneumatic extractor. The product is subsequently collected in multiple hoppers and conveyed to a discharge conveyor.
