Silos - corrugated metal
Used to store various types of grain.
Silos are loaded by dropping the grain through the canopy on the roof, using various conveyor systems.
Silos are unloaded through the buried tunnels or trenches on the floor.
Specifications
Construction
Cylinder: The cylinder is composed of circular sections in corrugated structural steel, galvanized using the Sendzimir process 450g/m2, guaranteeing excellent resistance against atmospheric agents.
The external uprights are used to reinforce the cylinder and are held together using high mechanical resistance bolts, with Dacromet treatment.
The circular sections are sealed by plastic gaskets, which maintain their impermeable properties over time.
A manhole is inserted on the second circular section of the cylinder to access the inside of the silo for maintenance operations.
Roof: The roof is composed of trapezoidal corrugated elements in galvanized steel, designed to support the weight of snow and loading/unloading structures.
The roof is developed with a variable inclination depending on the diameter of the models, from 25° to 30°, and is secured to the cylinder using special brackets.
A closing canopy is installed at the centre of the roof, and an inspection hatch in the lower part of the roof.
