Specifications

DESCRIPTION

These are used in simple dust extraction systems.

Construction

  • Consists in a cylindrical chamber with lower tapered-conical hopper, with a tangential contaminated air inlet
  • Downward spiral duct and clean air outlet at the centre facing upwards
  • An airtight star valve is applied to the lower outlet
  • Alternatively, the free outlet is controlled by a container

Optional

  • Star valve
  • Hopper connected to inlet pipe
  • Expansion cone

Operating principle

Particulate matter that mixes with the air in the cyclone undergoes the effects of two distinct and combined actions. The first is friction on the internal wall of the cylindrical chamber, against which the dust is pushed by the centrifugal force, subsequently slowing down and falling towards the outlet. The second is the loss of particle suspension in the air current due to a loss of speed inside the device. The dust descends into the discharge cone and is extracted through the airtight star valve, which ensures undisturbed separation and the regular emission of purified air from the upper outlet.

These devices perform an essential aspiration and decanting function of particulate matter produced inside the systems themselves, thus guaranteeing higher product quality.
